Few weeks ago, we decided to visit our hometown, Cuenca Batangas. It's a 2 and a half hours drive from Manila (sometimes shorter). We stayed at Valentino Resort and Spa in Brgy. Pinagtung Ulan, Lipa Batangas. If you are heading to Cuenca from Lipa it's in the left side right after the Pinagtung ulan Elementary School.
We picked the contemporary cottage in the resort which is good for 2-8 persons. It has a sala, dining table, TV, airpot and an air-conditioned room which has a queen size bed.

Every cottages has its own theme. There's the Filipiniana, Modern and Contemporary. There's also the hotel type rooms which is facing one of their pools.
The cottages has the magnificent view of Mt. Makulot, the pools and the trees.

There are 3 pools, 2 adult pools and a kiddie pool. Valentino has another compound which is recommended for big groups.
There is also a jacuzzi near the pool. Aside from swimming you can also visit their beautiful garden.
Valentino has a restaurant which serves the local cuisine. It also offers buffet for large groups. Our stay also includes free buffet breakfast for 2. You can avail of the buffet breakfast for only Php 180.00.

Cottage: 3.5
The cottages are beautiful but my only comment the comfort rooms are too small and the shower curtains needs a little improvement because I could see molds in it.
Food: 3.5
Very reasonable price and taste good. A wide variety of food unfortunately not all are available since some of their foods are seasonal. The restaurant service is excellent specially Mang Arnold.
Service: 3
The receptionist needs more training of customer service but it's not that bad.
All in all I am satisfied with Valentino and I could say I will really come again. It's very relaxing, quiet and close to nature.
